Currently...: Posting this blog entry while anticipating a choreographed sequence by co-writer in crime!
That's right! We are pulling through! Almost two weeks straight now over at my place, now writing and eating our way through this script. We're gonna maul it with the love it deserves.
Yes, I'm still alive and breathing. Both Steve Ada and I are. Despite the constant self-house-arrest regime we both agreed on unconsciously speaking, we are going to end this long-run with a bang! But, coming down to the nitty-gritty of the writing, I've realised how much time we had to take our heads and practically saturate it in this pseudo-charmed-kinda-world. I'm loving it actually! Despite the finish line in the distance, and probably the prep time for editing, I've enjoyed the journey to get this point... for now. On other news, I've been wrapping my head in other things to help transit from this world to another. If anything, the transition on its own is really difficult. My head's been floating about.
Real life news? I've been considering a few job applications, sent one in particular, and probably going to plan a whole day handing hard copies to random places. My freelancing? Been pretty quiet, but then again, I'm going to have to pull in a few other matters before considering the return into it. I haven't touched anything in relation to design for a while now to tell you the truth. Time, Space, Money... all of these little things can attack you, but you learn to cope.

- Marie Meiling Setiawan (born 20 February, 1986) grew up in Western Sydney while roaming around during her childhood years. She has a background in media and communications from the University of New South Wales and has an insatiable thirst for Asian Cinema and anime. For her Honours degree, she completed a production piece and wrote her thesis “Mukokuseki: A Visual Critique on Japanese Animation”. She is also a freelance graphic designer, visual arts illustrator, and creative writer.
