That's right.
Despite my taking part in an 18-hour long wedding in high heels the day before (of which it was so exciting to finally witness two people I've known for so long finally tie the knot. Yay!), I still managed to get myself to the Cabra Moon Festival. Slightly limping, but not too bad. A big shout out to the Rumble Crew and Timothy Ly for having their film Maximum Choppage: Round 2 aired on a giant screen in John Street. It was awesome guys! Too bad I got there halfway through since parking was such a pain. 45 minutes in multi-levelled parking is not fun people. Not fun at all. And I find the irony in my parking adventures within that timespan. It's a lesson learnt I think.
ANYWHO! Onto other news...
Besides preparations for the wedding I attended and participated in on Saturday, this week has been a pretty hectic one. We finally began some discussions for WestExpress '09 last week. A brief meeting, but now we're all up to speed with what's happening. I'm hoping everything falls through successfully. It's only a matter of hearing from Pamela about the venue first and foremost.
Progress with DTR2? Coming along very well! In fact, even better! We've got characters, main plot and structure so far. Style direction is getting there. Who would've thought that writing for 8-12 year olds could be so... fun. It just helps to revert your mind back to that age again. I'd like to personally give props to Laurent Boiteaux who has been a big help in the creative process. It's amazing what you can do within a span of a week. Now it's a matter of gaining insights from the others involved in this project. A meeting must be had!
On the real life front? Still job hunting. On the side. Yay. Sent a few CVs. And waiting. Boring~ Otherwise, I've returned to my piano and guitar through the week and re-learnt more songs. After over a year, I've come back to Eyes On Me by Faye Wong. I loved that song, and I know why I didn't play it for so long as well (of which I will not disclose here at all). Performance? Maybe. If I find the time. Or maybe when a lack of inspiration hits.
Well, with the Maximum Choppage high, DTR, and WestExpress '09, it's going to be an exciting month ahead. October seems fruitful. Looking towards the bright side.
November? One word: NaNoWriMo.
That is all.
